AskMid has reported a 30% increase in insurance verification checks during November 2024, coinciding with the nationwide Operation Drive Insured campaign. The week-long enforcement initiative, which ran from 11-17 November, saw police forces across the UK targeting uninsured drivers. During the operation, police seized nearly 3,000 uninsured vehicles in just seven days, highlighting the ongoing challenge of uninsured driving. AskMid's data shows that the public awareness campaign surrounding the operation prompted many motorists to verify their insurance status, with over 150,000 checks conducted through the AskMid platform during the week.
